Earlier, reports emerged online indicating that Jay Shah is reportedly on track to become the new chairman of the International Cricket Council.

The businessman and cricket administrator, who is presently the head of the ICC’s Finance and Commercial Affairs sub-committee, is all prepared to become the youngest chairman in the history of the ICC.

According to ICC rules for the chairmanship election, the process involves 16 votes, and a of nine votes (51%) is required to win.

While the salary of the ICC Chairman isn’t known, it is believed that Jay Shah is paid Rs.3,50,000 in salary by the BCCI for attending meetings and conducting other cricket related tasks. He is believed to have a net worth of Rs.125-150 crore.
